Art in Sooke

Sooke may be best known for its great fishing and beautiful scenery, but it also has a thriving local art scene.

The Sooke Fine Arts Show is Vancouver Island's premier juried art show. This year is the 24th annual offering, each year more outstanding than the last, and this year no exception. It is simply stunning the creativity and talent of artists from Sooke and other nearby areas of Vancouver Island. The show runs from July 24 to August 2nd.

Also happening around Sooke is the 10th annual Stinking Fish Studio Tour, where artists in Metchosin and East Sooke open up their studios to show off their fine arts and fine crafts. It also runs from July 24 to August 2nd.

More than just ruggedly beautiful, Sooke also has a lot of not-so-hidden talents to show off too!
